Many manufacturers periodically release the kernel source code for their smartphones. It helps those who like to play around with the creation of custom firmware. HTC is one of the mobile manufacturers who pays special attention to this. The company recently released the source code for eight smartphones.
HTC has once again confirmed its commitment to the philosophy of open source by providing the kernel source code for the top four devices: HTC Rezound, HTC Explorer (Pico), HTC Desire S and HTC Amaze 4G. Sources are available for download at the HTC Developer Center.
